The wireless backup camera system is going to minimize blind spots, and help avoid accidents. This is perfect for cars, SUV's, and trucks, and it also works great for boats, RV's, and campers. Towards the end of the video we're going to hook it up to power and get a live feed, that way we can see what everything looks like. The unit is going to feature a digital transmitter that is built into the camera, which is going to simplify the initial setup. This type of system really eliminates interference from Bluetooth, and other wireless devices. It's going to offer high quality, uninterrupted video. the monitor, right here is a three and a half inch full color LCD monitor. It's going to secure to your windshield, or dash with the included suction cup mount. It's going to feature the mounting arms that are able to tilt, that way you can adjust the viewing angle. Now, brightness, color, contrast, and image orientation can all be adjusted. It is going to portray mirror image. That's going to offer a precise viewing from the drivers perspective, which is exactly what we want in a backup camera system. Now, the three and a half inch measurement is measured from corner to corner across the screen, diagonally. The camera is going to feature a water resistant design. It's going to mount to the same attachment points as your license plate. It's going to offer a hundred and ten degree horizontal viewing angel. Height and vertical angle can be customized, so there is a little bit of give in there. You can adjust that as necessary, depending on your application. Again, it's going to mount to the license plate attachment points on the vehicle. It's going to feature six infrared LED's on the camera housing, so it will provide night time vision. Once everything is connected on the LCD display, we're going to notice that it's going to have parking guidelines. That's going to be displayed on the monitor, and that's going to let you easily parallel park, or back out of a parking spot. Those parking guidelines, simply indicate that this sense between your vehicle, and other objects. The parking guidelines can be turned off with a simple push of a button, so you can turn those on and off just by pushing the button, and that's all there is to it. The system is going to automatically activate when you shift into reverse. Pretty simple installation. All the necessary mounting hardware is included. The monitor is going to plug into your vehicle twelve volt, or twenty-four volt DC auxiliary outlet. It's going to come with that power cord. That is going to measure six feet long, so you can easily make the connection. The camera is going to hard wire into the vehicles reverse lights. Six feet of wiring on this side, as well, and you've got your exposed wires there to easily make your connections, and it's going come with equipped splice connectors to get those connected as well. It's going to come with some cable ties, that way you can secure any access, or slacking, or wiring. Making sure your wires are up and out of the way, and they do include a grommet in case your application requires drilling to run the wires through. That way you can install that grommet, and run the wires through there, so the wires don't get damaged. It's going to come with the necessary mounting hardware to get the camera mounted. When it comes to the monitor, we are going to take a look at the overall dimensions, real quick, going in this direction, edge to edge, we are looking at about four and three quarters of an inch. This direction, edge to edge, we are looking about three and one quarter inches. The thickness, just measuring from the back of the unit to the front, we are looking at a thickness of about once inch. So, really nice design. That monitor can easily be detached from that mounting arm, and you can just tighten up everything, once you have the angle set. Again, the LCD display corner to corner is three and a half inches. The power cord length, once again, six feet long. When it comes to the camera, we are looking at a digital transmission distance without interference of six hundred and fifty-six feet. Pretty incredible, for this unit. Frequency is two point four gigahertz. It will work with twelve volt, or twenty-four volt DC systems. It's only going to draw about one amp of power, so that's the power drawl rating on the unit, and it's going to have a water resistant rating of IP66. We are going to go and hook it up to power. That way you can see what it looks like. We are also going to try to turn off our overhead lights, and see if that nighttime vision design, or feature really kicks in. All right. We have that on, now we just need to wire this up. You can see that there, the camera is on. It's working just fine. I'm going to bring it in a little bit closer on this LCD display, so we can get a good look, and everything it has to offer. You can see there, the parking guidelines, and again those can be turned on and off with a push of a button. Just like that. You are going to have a down arrow, and an up arrow, that's going to allow you to navigate through the options. Your going to have a center power button, and then you are going to have your menu button, right here, and again, that's going to allow you to adjust your brightness, contrast, color, and image orientation, and some other options with that. Now, also what I want to do is I want to go ahead and turn off our overhead lights, so now you can see that even in a low light setting, those infrared displays kick on, and you can clearly see the display there on the LCD screen, even with our overhead lights turned off. That's a really neat design. Again, that's going to feature six infrared LED's. I think I said, displays earlier, but that's going to be six infrared LED's on the camera housing. It's going to provide your nighttime vision. Now, I'm going to go ahead and wire this to the reverse function. I just had it running, just straight power. If I want you to be able to see the response time that it has, so when nothing is being connected, so right now, we have power running to the screen, and we have our camera hooked up, but we're not in reverse. You can see there that we have that blue LED flashing, that means that it's receiving power, so when we activate, or go into reverse you can hear that button click, that blue light is going to kick on, and remain on, and then it's going to display the feed from our camera. When we shift out of the reverse gear, that's going to go back into like a hibernation mode. That's a really nice design of the unit.
